Baby, Baby, Baby December 17, 2011

I have been very busy these past few months making items for all of the new babies our friends and family members have been welcoming into the world!

Here is my first rag quilt…I made it as a trial before making one for Ashley’s new little bundle of joy, Landon…of course I have a picture of the trial quilt and totally forgot to take pictures of the one I made for Landon…and I liked it even more than I like this one

Here is another blanket and burp cloth I worked on for Landon, before we knew he was going to be a little boy!

I worked on a House Divided Taggie for a friend of a friend

In September, we had a baby shower for Breanne…she has since had a baby girl, but at the time we were going gender neutral.  Here are pics of the rag quilt, burp cloth, and onesie I made for the shower.

Our next shower was for Suzanne and I again forgot to take pics of her blanket and burp cloth set…it was super cute and also gender neutral…can’t wait to meet Baby McFadden in a few weeks!

James’ coworker and our next door neighbors both welcomed little boys a week ago.  I decided tie onesies  and coordinating burp cloths were the way to go for these two little ones.

My Aunt and Uncle are about to welcome a new little one in a week and I worked on a playmat for her shower over Thanksgiving, but again forgot to take a picture…I need to put a post it about my sewing machine that reminds me to take pictures after I finish each project.

Jillian is expecting a little one in January.  I whipped up a nursing cover and matching burp cloth for her shower this past weekend.

Showers…check, now time to start work on gifts for when the little ones arrive!

Craft Show Time December 11, 2011

November brought with it Grandma Ree’s Annual Craft Show…Check out some of the things I made for the show…

I made 6 T-Shirt scarves in Holiday colors from inexpensive shirts I bought at Hobby Lobby.

These are the Chalkboard Coasters sets that I saw on Pintrest.  I bought inexpensive (.16 cents) white tile and chalkboard spray paint.  These literally took only a few minutes to prep and were so cute…although the folks in Paola didn’t agree cause I only sold one set…oh well…gifts for the holidays!

I also sold some of my baby blankets and burp cloths, but I’m saving the photos for my baby post (it is going to be a big one!)  Overall, I made about $60 from the show…which has already been spent at Joanne and Hobby Lobby :)

October’s Creations December 2, 2011

Time to catch up on the past couple of months!  October was a big month for our little guy…Brayden turned 2!!!  For his birthday we took the whole family to the Pumpkin Patch.  We had a great time despite the very dusty conditions :)

Of course, I had to make him his own Birthday shirt to wear to the patch…here it is right after I finished it.

And here it is on Brayden at the Pumpkin Patch

I also worked on Trick or Treat Bags for Brayden and two of his friends, Sydney and Blake.  I used the same polka dot fabric from his Bray’s Birthday shirt.

And I can’t forget our new addition to the block, Baby Landon, joined our block of what is soon to be a bunch of rowdy boys!  Here is the Halloween outfit I made for Landon’s first Halloween.
